The Senior Analytics Solutions Specialist coordinates multiple aspects of the design, implementation, and maintenance of data and analytics systems throughout MHS entities. This position provides project management support for data and analytics projects and coordinates projects with Information Services and business units to effectively use information technology solutions to improve business operations. This position applies in-depth knowledge of business/clinical processes, applications and associated data to ensure effective implementation of data insights that lead to improved decisions and business value.  Working with key stakeholders, this position uses data management concepts and processes to ensure that the critical data is fit for its intended purpose. These critical data are required to quantify the impact of department goals on business or clinical outcomes, service, and value

  • Proven analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in using or a working knowledge of key IT applications used in Healthcare (EMR, ERP, HR, Supply Chain, etc.).  Experience with Epic or Lawson a plus.
  • Knowledge of or experience in healthcare workflows and operations
  • Basic knowledge of relational database principles, including basic SQL
  • Basic knowledge of data movement and organization technologies (e.g. ETL tools, data governance tools)
  • A working knowledge of data/analytics development life-cycle (e.g. data acquisition, data storage, ETL, data visualization, data delivery, etc.)
  • Experience developing or project managing moderate to complex data and analytics projects
  • Experience using or developing data visualization solutions with common industry tools (Qlik, Tableau, etc.)
  • Requires 3 to 5 years’ of healthcare applications experience
  • Requires 3 to 5 years’ experience with applications and/or tools in assigned areas


Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or Medical/Nursing Informatics
