Position Summary

The OR Central Services Technician (Central Processing Tech) is primarily responsible for providing support to the Operating Room through knowledge of surgical supplies and materials. The OR Central Services Technician is responsible for the daily case supply picking. This position is accountable for the support of the effective PAR level maintenance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently perform assigned duties in maintaining OR supplies and picking surgical case carts.
  • Demonstrates lean principles in maintaining proper inventory management

Minimum Requirements

  • Two (2) years acute care experience in Surgical Services required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong healthcare education and associated experiential background
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques
  • High School diploma or equivalency
