Purpose Statement / Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for carrying out staffing policies/procedures and guidelines under the direction of the Operations Manager/Supervising Designee of each unit.This individual is responsible for communication, maintenance of accurate staffing sheets and logs, and data entry functions.Additional responsibilities include coordinating data entry of unit schedules.Other responsibilities include orientation and training of new staff and collaboration with the professional and non-professional employee towards achieving fiscal and quality care goals.

Qualifications: 
Experience
  • One year of experience as Staffing Office Coordinator preferred.In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for an employee with strong education and associated experiential background.
  • Experience with computer systems, data entry, word processing, order entry and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with staffing software platforms preferred.

Education

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient in medical terminology.
