The Department Secretary is responsible for providing diverse secretarial and administrative functions for the executives, department leaders and staff in the Departments of Risk Management, Legal and Government Relations (�Departments�). Responsibilities include facilitating meeting logistics and calendaring of meetings for the Departments; handling administrative details; , using discretionary initiative and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential details; supporting claims functions, including scheduling witnesses, document production, and discovery activities for litigated and unlitigated claims; assisting with and following through on project assignments; and maintaining records and facilitating office operations
  • Advanced expertise and highly proficient with computers and applications, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office (Word- processing, Excel- data analysis, Visio- charts/diagrams, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability in critical thinking skills and effective problem solving.
  • Demonstrate exceptional and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with strong grammar, proofreading, spelling and email composition abilities.
  • Minimum of 2+ years� secretarial experience.


  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor�s degree preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
