Position Summary

The Cafeteria Food Service Worker/cashier performs a variety of tasks pertaining to cafeteria operations,

Including: cash handling reconciliation and operating the cash register, operating the grill, operating food service equipment, serving customers, maintaining sanitation levels indoor and outdoor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Demonstrates the ability to have excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates competence when operating the cash register, and related functions associated with daily retail reports.
  • Demonstrates the ability to apply infection control policies and procedures for safe food handling.
  • Able to open & close the cafeteria, work serving line, stock/replenish supplies
  • Demonstrates the ability to set up the deli and salad bars. Demonstrates the ability to perform other related duties.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: 

Experience

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately
  • Speaks and understand English clearly
  • Food Service and/or cash register experience preferred

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
