Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist II per diem evaluates and assists individual patients in developing, recovering, and maintaining daily living and work skills. He/she works with patients who have mental, physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities, and aims to maximize independence and recovery for every patient. The Occupational Therapist II per diem performs intake assessments and implements a individualized treatment plans to effectuate patient goals. He/she actively participates in departmental development and assumes some supervisory duties within the department.

Qualifications: 

Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ years prior work experience in occupational therapy is required. Prior relevant work experience and aptitude in education and program development is required.
  • Memberships in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Occupational Therapy Association of California (OTAC) are recommended.
  • Advanced Practice in Hand Therapy from the California Board of Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • California Occupational Therapist License required.
  • National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is recommended.
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association required.
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC) preferred
