Position Summary:

The Radiation Therapist Per Diem is responsible providing daily treatment for cancer patients in the Radiology Therapeutic department at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.  Under general supervision and medical direction, the Radiation Therapist PD utilizes standard radiation therapy practice to provide therapy, management, diagnostic evaluation, education, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities which affect the pulmonary system and associated aspects of cardiopulmonary and other systems functions.

Qualifications: 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred
  • Graduate of accredited school of Radiation Therapy. 
  • Active license from the State of California as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). 
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) certification is required.
