Purpose Statement / Position Summary

MemorialCare's IS trainers are responsible for developing the knowledge and skills of our workforce. They ensure that our workforce can meet its current and future business objectives and deliver quality services that meet our customers� needs. They develop and facilitate training strategies and plan initiatives working with clinical, patient access, financial system, or Analytics/Business Intelligence groups.

The IS Trainer Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining course curriculum and supporting training materials. They work closely with other Trainers and Application Analyst/Architects to ensure training materials and associated tools are in sync with the specific application and training environment. They are involved in training program development, build technical training environments, and oversee classroom training. The IS Trainer Lead collaborates at all levels of the organization to deliver customized curriculum and coaching to employees. They formulate teaching content and determine instructional methods. They evaluate the effectiveness of the education and training provided. Additional responsibilities include project management training specific projects and participation in department projects.

Qualifications: 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years training experience
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant software experience or Analytics/Business Intelligence experience
  • Epic Trainer experience and Epic MST experience when working with Epic as the primary supported system
  • Role model for MemorialCare Leadership Values
  • IT, and successful project management experience preferred.
  • History of displaying leadership in coaching and mentoring of employees.  Proven ability to influence and shape team consensus, leading group discussions and presenting to operation leaders.
  • Demonstrated use of effective communication and interpersonal relations to achieve established goals.    
  • Past success establishing team vision, driving processes improvement, and creating enthusiasm for researching and taking on new processes and projects.
  • Demonstrated a history of anticipating trends and applying the strengths of the team members to satisfy demands of customers in the competitive marketplace. 
  • Has held a previous role formally or informally leading projects or teams.
  • Experienced proficiency in Master train environment (i.e. MST) build preferred when working with Epic as the primary supported system
  • Demonstrated proficiency in adult learning theory, motivation, and development. Experienced in instructional education, training, and/or customer service preferred
  • Experienced with technical training development, eLearning development tools, and learning management systems preferred.
  • Proven competence in leading projects; evidence of progress in project management assignments.
  • Past success working independently as well as in a team situation while meeting aggressive deadlines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Products required

Education

  • Bachelor�s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
  • Epic Certified in one or more modules (NVT) required
  • PMP and ANCC Nursing/Clinical Informatics preferred
