Position Summary
Performs specific technical duties of a radiation therapist and provides assistance for the proper functioning of the department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Utilizes all electronic systems effectively and appropriately.
- Demonstrates the required technical knowledge to perform quality imaging for all diagnostic exams and procedures while providing quality patient care and safety.
- Performs quality imaging appropriate to patients of all ages and conditions.
- Assures appropriate patient identification is performed and indication and history for exam is documented.
- Demonstrates the ability to properly position patients for therapy and to operate radiation therapy equipment according to protocol.
- Ensures patient and family education is conducted and documented according to department policies.
- Ability to be at work and be on time.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
- Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Minimum one-year acute care experience or equivalent preferred
Education/Licensure/Certification
- Current CRT license in the State of California
- Current ARRT license, Radiation Therapy
- Current fluoroscopy license in California (preferred)
- Current BCLS certificate
