Position Summary

The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and leading the department of imaging services, in conjunction with the medical director of the department to ensure that fiscal and human resources are effectively managed to provide excellent ancillary services that exceed the prevailing “market standard” and that the department fulfill its role in accomplishing LBMC goals and objectives.

This position reports to a COO position whose area of responsibility includes all of LBMC operations. Maintain and improve operational efficiencies Develop and implement strategic and operating plans consistent with Medical Center objectives Maintain accreditation, licensure, and regulatory compliance Interact with medical staff& guide/influence management team to support program initiatives

Principal Duties and Responsibilities.

  • Maintain and improve operating efficiencies, including evaluation and control of costs based on medical center cost of unit service model. Oversee division of supplies and service contracts.
  • Develop and implement strategic and operating plans consistent with the vision and mission of the medical center
  • Establish and maintain department 01 program under direction of Medical Director. Maintain accreditation, licensure and regulatory compliance
  • Interact with medical staff and guide/influence management team to achieve support for programs and services. Establish and maintain a structure of communication within the departments
  • Ensure the promotion of and adherence to regulatory compliance by managers and lead staff
  • Administer CAT tool. Attract, retain, and develop quality management staff. Encourage and monitor the development of business skills of management team members

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications - External

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in hospital imaging administration, with evidence of progressive management responsibilities required. 

Education/Licensure/Certification:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in an allied health field, business or healthcare management.

·       MBA or applicable course work desirable. 

·       ARRT registration is preferred
