The Pharmacy Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the procurement, distribution, and control of medications across MemorialCare.The Pharmacy Purchasing Manager is responsible for optimizing pharmaceutical inventory management at the centralized pharmaceutical warehouse(s) while minimizing the impact of drug shortages across the enterprise.
The Pharmacy Purchasing Manager collaborates with the Executive Director of Pharmacy Services, and other Pharmacy Buyers to implement purchasing initiatives and/ or contracts. This position collaborates with other departments at various Health System locations. The Pharmacy Purchasing Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, implementing, and monitoring opportunities to reduce expenses through contract and inventory management. The Pharmacy Purchasing Manager develops relationships with vendors to assist with drug procurement and pricing. The Pharmacy Purchasing Manager is also responsible for ensuring that implementation, compliance, and financial benefits of contracts are achieved.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
· Minimum 3 years of experience as a buyer in a hospital pharmacy setting (required)
· Minimum 1 year of experience as a manager, lead buyer, or equivalent (required)
· Minimum 2 years of experience with inventory management strategies and drug shortages mitigation (preferred)
· Experience 340B Federal Drug Pricing Program (preferred)
· Experience with Drug Supply Chain and Security Act (DSCSA) (preferred)
· Strong communication and collaboration skills with the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Education/Licensure/Certification:
· Active Pharmacy Technician license in state of CA (required)
