The Analyst, Pharmacy will be responsible for the development and maintenance of report and analytics tools that serve to drive data-informed decisions and operational excellence across the health system's pharmacy services. This position combines analytical expertise with pharmacy knowledge to optimize medication management, procurement, diversion prevention, pharmacy automation; all while improving financial, clinical, and operational outcomes.The analyst serves as a crucial bridge between pharmacy operations and stakeholders across the health system; translating complex pharmacy data into actionable insights that drive strategic initiatives. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, this position influences system-wide medication management practices and contributes to continuous quality improvement.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Briefly describe the major responsibilities and functions of this position.
1.Design and maintain analytics dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for pharmacy 2.Monitor and analyze pharmacy automation system performance, medication dispensing data, inventory management, and procurement standardization 3.Support medication initiatives, such as diversion prevention, automation, inventory management, procurement standardization through data analysis and trend identification 4.Analyze drug spend patterns, identify and quantify cost-saving opportunities 5.Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for pharmacy leadership to support strategic planning and operational decisions 6.Document processes and procedures for knowledge sharing & provide regular updates to stakeholders 7.Present analytical findings to pharmacy leadership and stakeholders 8.Be at work and be on time 9.Follow company policies, procedures and directives 10.Interact in a positive and constructive manner 11.Prioritize and multitask 12.Design and maintain analytics dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for pharmacy including, but not limited to, drug utilization, cost savings, contract compliance, and clinical outcomes 13.Conduct deep-dive analyses into medication use patterns, diversion prevention, cost trends, and operational efficiency metrics 14.Support annual budget planning and forecasting through detailed financial analysis 15.Evaluate contract pricing and support pharmacy purchasing decisions 16.Monitor revenue cycle metrics and identify areas for optimization 17.Manage dashboards and reports that track drug shortages and support MemorialCare Drug Shortage Mitigation programs. 18.Participate in formulary management and drug utilization review processes and assist in developing and tracking clinical initiatives and outcomes measures 19.Develop clear and concise reports for various audiences & be able to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams 20.Other duties as assigned |
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare analytics, pharmacy operations, or related area(s) (required)
· Experience with healthcare data analysis, reporting, and Electronic Health Records (preferred)
· Strong understanding of pharmacy and hospital operations, drug cost analysis, and pharmacy workflow (preferred)
· Experience with 340B Federal Drug Pricing Program (preferred)
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment (preferred)
Education/Licensure/Certification:
· High School Diploma (required)
· Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, Math, Statistics, or related healthcare or analytical field (preferred)
