Position Summary
The Manager, Business Development is responsible for the growth, development and expansion of the MemorialCare Medical Foundation (MCMF) clinic sites, including denovo new sites, site expansion, relocation and/or provider additions. Under supervision of the Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Services, the Manager will develop business plans ensuring the plans are in alignment with the overall strategic and growth priorities of MCMF. The Manager will engage other departments and leaders throughout MemorialCare to ensure these plans have overall buy-in from an operational and financial standpoint while ensuring community needs are being met.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Lead the overall business planning, market analysis, assessment and financial modeling efforts for new clinic growth.
- In conjunction with operations, assess current clinic sites and determine areas for financial and operational improvement/efficiencies
- Perform as the subject matter expert for the Department with regard to external data analytics; market share, competitive analysis, demographics, system led databases, etc
- Partner with real estate team to oversee lease renewals for MCMF, ensuring leases are renewed timely and within fair market value guidelines
- Assist with acquisition of physician practices including financial analysis/modeling and valuation efforts
- Collaborate with hospital business development leadership to ensure MCMF’s growth plans are well-coordinated and support a system-wide strategy for growth and development.
- Provides leadership and support in the successful implementation of programs which align with the strategic goals and growth objectives for MCMF.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health care and understanding the breadth of business planning, development, strategy, and operational execution.
- Successful candidates will have demonstrated strong critical thinking skills and an ability to work independently on projects of a high level of strategic importance to the organization.
- The Manager requires excellent communication, writing, project management, interpersonal, and organizational skills to work collaboratively with leaders throughout the organization.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administr
