Position Summary
The Enterprise Principal Architects are technology leaders among architects.They drive the technical design of scalable systems for MemorialCare. Enterprise Principal Architects connect MemorialCare’s long-term vision, the business and the technical strategy to build an industry-leading platform. They use deep understanding of distributed systems, algorithms optimization, and healthcare knowledge to build a new category of products intersecting deep learning and computing with industry-leading technologies. They harness groundbreaking technologies and build impactful products and platforms that redefines the capabilities of Medical Doctors and MemorialCare’s healthcare systems.
The Principle Solution Architect applies in-depth healthcare professional knowledge and strong technical acumen to ensure effective and optimal use of current medical systems.This position’s healthcare knowledge coupled with a solid technology background provides the medical knowledge and soft skills platform required to diagnose root causes, clarify needs, identify inefficiencies and opportunities to proactively design and implement strategic initiatives within the clinical and regulatory healthcare sphere.This combination enables the Principal Solution Architect to evaluate issues and projects from a configuration, technical, and end user standpoint. This position requires proactive, in-depth technical knowledge and extensive review of clinical content traditionally out of scope for strictly technical job roles.The ability to analyze these topics while understanding the technical implications enables the Principal Solution Architect to design strategies that are both effective and efficient, resulting in a superior product with maximum return on investment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Develop strategy and technical direction for enterprise-class solutions to support key business requirements.
- Lead clinical direction of architecture and guides application selection for MemorialCare portfolios, ensuring application purchases with recognition to business directions
- Evaluate newfound MemorialCare business initiatives and apprehensions with an eye towards application rationalization across the entire enterprise and an ability to react quickly and positively to new or emergent situations
- Provide technical and clinical leadership for the end-to-end evaluation and implementation of new technology and application/solution, including standard commercial products, custom applications, and hybrid solutions
- Mentor and provide oversight on architectural and design best practices by reviewing detailed system designs and providing guidance
- Develop, analyze, and document use-case and cross-functional requirements

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years application experience in relevant Epic module(s)
- Proven self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Rapidly absorbs modern knowledge bases and incorporates them into new and existing architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to understand what is required to respond to complex enterprise system issues
- Proven strong interpersonal skills in written and verbal communications with both technical and non-technical personnel required
- Achieved exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Recognized ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
- Demonstrated experience across areas of architecture, interoperability, modeling, visualization, data warehousing, and data governance
- Experienced in technical leadership, project management, and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Proven Knowledge in areas such as networking, security, performance tuning, high availability, and distributed systems
- Proven abilities in Cloud computing preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare business environment
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required; Master’s degree or Clinical license preferred
- Epic certification required; cross certification preferred
