Position Summary
The Program Director for Change Management plays an intricate role within MemorialCare as they are responsible for driving and successfully leading change-related organizational initiatives.This role will serve as a high-level liaison working with different IS teams, project managers, vendors, key stakeholders, operational leaders and executives to ensure the proper due diligence has been completed as it relates to the impacts of all implementations and change initiatives.This Program Director will ensure that structured programs are in place to manage all dynamics of change and the impacts from a fully integrated ecosystem perspective.This requires the Program Director to have an astute understanding of MemorialCare’s infrastructure, core operating models, strategic priorities, operational dependencies, and adaptability for change. This role is designed to take all these factors into consideration and work closely with IS department to ensure the success of well-orchestrated and intentional change initiatives are implemented for optimal customer satisfaction.
The Program Director for Change Management will promote standardization of change management protocols to ensure proper documentation, testing, communication, readiness, and implementation contingencies are identified and anticipated.This role will also help facilitate the mitigation of any perceived risks associated with change initiatives in order to minimize financial and service disrupting impact to the organization. This role will have an overarching responsibility to ensure there is a streamlined and seamless process of engaging the various teams involved in fulfilling change initiatives from inception through governance to implementation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans to support the successful adoption of organizational change initiatives.
- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders and employees throughout the change process, ensuring their understanding and engagement.
- Assess the impact of change initiatives and develop appropriate communication and contingency plans to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Identify and address resistance to change, working closely with stakeholders to mitigate risks and overcome challenges.
- Ensure completed documentation requirements and support the design and delivery of proper testing programs for impacted systems.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management efforts, adjusting as necessary to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of change management activities with other business initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in change management, incorporating them into the company's approach.
- Establish key KPIs and provide relevant data to key stakeholders and executives.
- Oversee projects within the program and develop key performance indicators and provide visibility into the program/portfolio of a change management roadmap.
- Identify and resolve problems of varying complexity as well as conduct root cause analysis of problems, taking actions to prevent recurring instances of issues.
- Create and maintain documentation, plans, templates, and reports as well as effectively communicate plans to stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on progress against established project milestones.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Minimum 7 years program management or relevant experience required.
- Minimum 5 years system analyst or equivalent business experience in a healthcare organization.
- Minimum 7 years leadership/management experience in a healthcare organization.
- Proven experience establishing a support program and maintaining it at a high level.
- Deep working knowledge of ITIL and building programs and approaches levering ITIL best practices.
- Strong experience participating in large scale IS systems upgrades, changes and deployments. With roles that required collaborating with IS and business leaders, vendors and ensuring effective communications of changes are provided for in a complete and timely fashion.
- Experienced in managing enterprise project portfolios, programs, and projects, including the management of the portfolio budget and the ability to interact with all staff levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated overall knowledge of the healthcare business environment, including Medical Groups, IPAs, and Health Plans for Managed Care business workflows including Hospital workflow.
- Experienced working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and managing multiple priorities.
- Proven excellent leadership and relationship management skills, as well as the ability to manage and motivate direct and indirect reports.
- Experienced working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of key areas of the healthcare business.
- Demonstrated high energy levels and tolerance of tight deadlines, time pressures, and ambiguity.
- Proven knowledge of PCs, collaborative computing tools, re-engineering and process improvement techniques, information management in healthcare, systems integration and basic project finance regulations.
- Experienced in leading projects, providing expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives, effectively dedicating time across more than one project, and meeting established deadlines.
- Proven ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Suite Products required.
- Demonstrated analytical, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven superior oral and written communication and presentation skills; able to interact with individuals across all departments.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent PMI recognized certification preferred.
- ITIL Certification required.
