Position Summary

The Enterprise Architects are technology leaders among architects. They drive the technical design of scalable systems for MemorialCare. Enterprise Architects connect MemorialCare’s long-term vision, the business and the technical strategy to build an industry-leading platform. They use deep understanding of distributed systems, algorithms optimization, and healthcare knowledge to build a new category of products intersecting deep learning and computing with industry-leading technologies. They harness groundbreaking technologies and build impactful products and platforms that redefines the capabilities of Medical Doctors and MemorialCare’s healthcare systems.

Sr. Solution Architects are responsible for the review of the development, implementation, maintenance, and support of designs and oversight of Information Services (IS) applications within MemorialCare. They are responsible for ensuring that software developed meets MemorialCare architectural and quality expectations and require a broad knowledge about all applicable software and healthcare business processes. Sr. Solution Architects work with the business and IS leadership to understand multi-year road maps to identify architectural initiatives which have the broadest impact.

Sr. Solution Architects are responsible for guiding MemorialCare projects through current workflows, upgrades, system changes and enhancements as well as ongoing system maintenance. They work to ensure the application software is effectively and efficiently designed, produced and tested. They evaluate potential risks and defects, analyzing specifications and customization of the application while providing recommendations on disaster recovery, data integrity, security of the application, as well as evaluate alternatives and analyze problems with data infrastructures. Sr. Solution Architects work to create technical documents relating to application architecture, design steps, integration processes and testing procedures to ensure a seamless integration of new and existing systems and eliminate potential problems and maintain data structure and integrity.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  1. Assist in the definition and implementation of solutions that will improve the consistency of product performance and quality.
  2. Interpret leadership requirements to produce a design that conforms to specifications.
  3. Assess current architecture and recommend solutions for improvement
  4. Review business context for solutions to MemorialCare challenges
  5. Work with solution vendors to assist in implementations
  6. Work across multiple projects with varied stakeholders.
  7. Monitor the progress and the quality of projects
  8. Anticipate issues and risks before they occur
  9. Ensure business solutions have an enterprise and strategic perspective
  10. Facilitate dialogues that produce new perspectives and trigger recommendations
  11. Be at work and be on time
  12. Follow company policies, procedures and directives
  13. Interact in a positive and constructive manner
  14. Prioritize and multitask

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years application experience in relevant Epic module(s)
  • Demonstrated ability to adopt and relate new technologies to business problems
  • Recognized for strategic business acumen and understanding of organizational strategy
  • Demonstrated understanding of application, infrastructure and security architecture and non-functional aspects like performance, scalability, reliability, availability
  • Proven strong collaborator with a  willingness to share ideas, documentation and leading practices
  • Proven conceptual and analytical thinker with the ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements and strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare business environment
  • Experienced in technical leadership, project management, and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Proven strong interpersonal skills in written and verbal communications with both technical and non-technical personnel required
  • Achieved exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Epic certification required; cross certification preferred
