Position Summary

The Lead, Housekeeper assists the department manager/supervisor with the planning, managing, and controlling of the day-to-day operations and services provided by the Environmental, Linen & Transportation departments. Ensures that a clean and safe environment is maintained by the various systems, programs, and staff members within the facility. Assists in other housekeeping, transportation & linen duties as prescribed by the department’s manager/supervisor. Responsible for the materials and equipment assigned for the performance of the daily duties and functions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

1. Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently provide care and prevention in emergency situations and normal day to day operations.

2. Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently perform the established departmental cleaning procedures.

3. Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently perform chemical related procedures.

4. Demonstrates the ability to competently comply with departmental specific procedures and tasks.

5. Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently utilize departmental specific equipment.

6. Ability to be at work and on time

7. Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.

8. Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.

9. Ability to prioritize and multitask.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Previous leadership capacity experience preferred.

• 2 years of housekeeping experience and 6-months of transportation experience preferred. 

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
