Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for carrying out staffing policies/procedures and guidelines under the direction of the Operations Manager/Supervising Designee of each unit.This individual is responsible for communication, maintenance of accurate staffing sheets and logs, and data entry functions.Additional responsibilities include coordinating data entry of unit schedules.Other responsibilities include orientation and training of new staff and collaboration with the professional and non-professional employee towards achieving fiscal and quality care goals.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • One year of experience as Staffing Office Coordinator preferred.  In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for an employee with strong education and associated experiential background.
  • Experience with computer systems, data entry, word processing, order entry and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with staffing software platforms preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient in medical terminology.
