- Pay Range*: $56.37/hr-$76.51/hr

Position Summary
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. The employee shall support Long Beach Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.
The RN, Registered Nurse provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing, for the Todd Cancer Institute at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. The RN will work with Tumor Boards, coordinate events for facility and/or staff, work with all subspecialties of oncology, among other duties.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Completion of pre-employment drug screening.
- Completion of pre-employment criminal background reference check.
- Completion of pre-employment health evaluation including TB screening, and annual or bi-annual re-evaluation as indicated by Employee Health.
- The RN must be able to comply with every other weekend work commitment as well as be available to work and be scheduled any day of the week.
- The ideal candidate will:
- have one-year nursing experience in an oncology setting.
- be a highly communicative and collaborative individual with the ability to effectively interact with physicians, key stakeholders, and other important contacts.
- be a highly motivated and results-driven individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines. This role requires a proactive and independent approach with a strong work ethic.
- possess a strong proficiency in computer skills and demonstrate a high level of comfort and expertise in working with various computer programs (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EPIC, etc.)
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Current CA RN license
- BSN required or experienced RN in an accredited BSN program.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Completion of unit orientation and clinical competency validation.
- Must have a current cancer-specific certification by an accredited certification program or 12 hours of cancer-specific continuing education each calendar year; or must complete 12 cancer-specific CEU hours or have a current cancer-specific certification by an accredited certification program within one year of employment in an oncology unit.
- A certification is qualified if it includes cancer-specific criteria.
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy or OCN certification
- A certification is qualified if it includes cancer-specific criteria.
