Position Summary
Licensed x-ray tech, licensed medical assistant will perform radiological duties in compliance with x-ray department and legal requirements.Help patients feel comfortable during the entire process.Perform selected medical assisting and administrative/clerical duties that assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management under the direction of a physician.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
·Room patients, take and document vital signs, and assist provider with medical exam.
·Ensures quality of care through evaluation of patients for immediate medical care and reports to provider.
·Perform accurate charting, assessments, and intervention and follow-up per scope of practice.
·Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
·Protect patients, yourself and staff from radiation exposure by practicing sound procedures which meet or exceed recommended industry standards.
·Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians.Repeat images should not exceed two percent.
·Assist with scheduling of appointments as required for inside or outside health care providers, including hospital/out-patient surgeries.
·Collaborates with the Medical Provider regarding phone messages, pharmacy refills and ancillary test results in a timely manner.
·Maintains the capability of performing procedures; i.e., phlebotomy, spirometry, audiometry, electrocardiography, etc.
·Respond to and participate in all clinical emergencies and maintenance of emergency equipment.
·Performs procedures and administers medications and narcotics per scope of licensure/certification.
·Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and use of personal protective equipment as needed for all patient care procedures, maintenance of equipment, and disposal of waste. Access and interpret needed information from MSDS on-line in a prompt manner.
·Maintains optimum patient confidentiality and safety.
·Attends and participates in all mandatory nursing/administrative department meetings/in-services.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- Prior experience in an ambulatory care environment required.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent required.
- Completion of course in limited-scope/basic/LMRT/NCT radiological course or, completion of course CRT radiological course required.
- CPR for healthcare provider card required.
