This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center. The employee shall support MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement and patient safety activates. Under the direction of the Perioperative Services Director or Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Manager of Operating Room provides the overall management of the unit. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling all aspects of unit operations in collaboration with nursing and medical staff leadership to achieve clinical and service objectives, fiscal performance targets. The strategic plan goals, and service line initiatives of MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center. The Manger is responsible for ensuring delivery of quality patient care in compliance with all regulations, adherence to hospital policies and procedures, and overseeing customer service, patient satisfaction, and staff performance and competence.


ExperienceClinical skills in surgery at an acute care hospital setting required.  5 years of OR RN experience, and 1 year of management experience required. 

Knowledge of current leadership, management, and quality improvement principles.  Understanding of budget development. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Computer/Information system experience (EPIC). Ability to work collaboratively with physicians.  Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for areas of reasonability (e.g. Joint Commission, CDPH, Conditions of Participation).Education/License/CertificationBachelor's of Science in Nursing required, MSN preferred.

CNOR certification preferred.Current CA RN License Current BLS for healthcare providers
