Purpose Statement / Position Summary
As an integral part of the marketing team, the Marketing Outreach Specialist is responsible for Employer Group and Community Outreach activities for the purposes of increasing new patient enrollment and establishing MemorialCare Medical Group and Greater Newport Physicians IPA as the preferred providers of choice. The Marketing Outreach Specialist executes the outreach and growth strategy of MemorialCare to include planning, implementation and measurement for initiatives supporting commercial membership growth and patient retention. 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
  • Implements employer group sales strategies and programs for the purposes of increasing enrollment and establishing MemorialCare Medical Foundation providers as the preferred providers of choice.
  • Serves as a liaison to employer groups, carrier account executives, and the commercial insurance broker community
  • Serves on the system-wide Employer Marketing & Sales Team as a participant and implements initiatives as requested.  Takes on special marketing projects
  • Represents the system, foundation and entities at employer and community events.  Secures prominent competitive positioning, packs and displays appropriate marketing materials, represents MemorialCare brand in a professional and orderly way, engages consumers with the appropriate physicians, service lines and facilities
  • Coordinates educational lectures, including securing the physician, planning with the on-site coordinator, preparing and refining content and preparing promotional material. Promotes and builds attendance, introduces and represents physician.
  • Maintains visibility boards and measures marketing tactics
  • Participates in department initiatives, including, as necessary, those on evenings and weekends, that support commercial enrollment, growth of medical offices and other outpatient services.  Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of health system and all participating entities
  • Reports to work and is on time

Qualifications: 

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in marketing, sales, customer service, community outreach or similar experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadlines a must.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Event planning/coordination experience preferable.
Education
  • Bachelors' degree in marketing, communications, business or related discipline.
