Position Summary:

Proficiently operates various MRI scanners without requiring constant supervision in the MRI Imaging department at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. Obtains imaging for patients of all ages, including Miller Children's Hospital patients as contractually agreed. Possesses working knowledge of basic sterile procedure and nursing skills.
Qualifications: 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must have knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and circulatory system.
  • Must have basic knowledge of magnets, cryogenic gases, radio frequencies, and magnetic resonance physics.
  • Previous experience in MRI is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of picture archiving and communication system (PACS) and related medical imaging technology is preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification is required pre-hire.
  • Advanced Certification in MR by the ARRT is preferred.
