Position Summary

The Associate Software Architect is pivotal in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing the MemorialCare Genesys PureCloud platform. They collaborate closely with other members of the IT team to ensure that the platform's design and functionality align seamlessly with our organization's specific business needs and guarantee a cohesive and efficient user experience for every department utilizing the Genesys PureCloud system.

Additionally, the Associate Software Architect will take on the responsibility of providing comprehensive technical support and training to users, in addition to monitoring the platform's performance to identify areas for optimization and enhancements. Through their in-depth understanding of the platform and its user base, they will be able to make informed and strategic recommendations for continued improvement of the Genesys PureCloud system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Maintain an expert understanding of the Genesys PureCloud and MemorialCare enterprise communication platform suite of applications.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the Genesys PureCloud platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and robust security.
  • Assess the health and performance of the Genesys PureCloud platform, recommend upgrades when appropriate, and provide maintenance of existing systems and programming.
  • Develop and oversee call flow architecture and administration, including Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disconnects/Deletes (MACD).
  • Act as the intermediary between MemorialCare and Genesys Cloud Support.
  • Establish relationships with business units, customers, and subject matter experts.
  • Keep system users informed about Genesys PureCloud platform updates, upgrades, and known issues. Facilitate questions and responses with vendors as needed.
  • Develop, enforce, and recommend enhancements to applications.
  • Work with the development team to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Act as the primary contact for all LAN/WAN/telecom-related activities during and after project implementation.
  • Provide exceptional technical support, diagnose Genesys PureCloud platform issues, and empower users through comprehensive training and guidance.
  • Monitor and manage alerts for the Genesys PureCloud and MemorialCare enterprise communication platform suite of applications.
  • Deliver assigned tasks on time and comply with the development process.
  • Develop organizational goals and objectives.
  • Write design specifications, source code, and unit test plans.
  • Analyze, design, and make recommendations about the Genesys PureCloud platform.
  • Be at work and be on time.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Prioritize and multitask.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Three years of healthcare information systems experience with a broad understanding of cloud-based telecommunication technologies preferred
  • Experienced working with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, including various staff levels within
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including Agile methodologies
  • Proficient in web programming and REST APIs
  • Experienced in working quickly toward tight deadlines, and make smart tradeoffs between speed, accuracy, and maintainability.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope design deliverables accurately and prioritize work items appropriately
  • Demonstrated knowledge of job associated database/ software/ documentation.
  • Demonstrated high energy levels and tolerance of tight deadlines, time pressures, and solution ambiguity
  • Experienced in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Demonstrated use of effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven success working independently as well as exhibiting good participation in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
  • Relevant certification in various technological systems. Obtainment of additional relevant certification(s) may be required within first year with MemorialCare
