This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.
Performs a variety of food service tasks including high quality assembly and distribution of food, operation of food service equipment, dishwashing, and setup of patient, cafeteria, and physician's lounge areas. Maintains a clean and safe work environment for customers and employees.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communication in English
- Previous restaurant or acute care hospital foodservice experience preferred.
Performs a variety of tasks pertaining to production (food preparation), patient tray services, catering and cafeteria. This includes cover breaks for production staff, PCP cafe staff and main hospital cafeteria staff. Operates/handles cash register, rings customers up for sales. Assists on cleaning, storing, and organizing storage room, chemical room, walk in refrigerators and freezers. Orients and trains new staff.6. “Other duties as assigned”
