Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for completing assigned inventory control tasks supporting daily operations at the acute care facilities.This includes ParEx scale/cart maintenance, PAR optimization, cycle counting, and other inventory optimization projects.
Additionally, the incumbent provides data for monthly inventory reports and timely and accurate delivery of supplies to the hospitals and ambulatory locations. In addition to the inventory control responsibilities, the inventory control specialist will be responsible for training central supply technicians on processes that improve inventory accuracy and increase central supply fill rates.They will also provide critical compliance oversight in the field to ensure our supply chain meets all regulatory requirements.This includes regular rounding on the unit’s supply storage areas to check for and report compliance.
- Complete daily ParEx scale and PAR cart maintenance tasks to ensure order flow and efficiency.
- Implement projects focused on PAR optimization and Inventory Optimization.
- Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary; assure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Observe health and safety regulations; maintain warehouse/supply storage locations in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
- Maintain key data for inclusion on the scorecard which includes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including fill rates, Stock outs, items over PAR, no move items, stock value and others to support continuous improvement.
- Assist/Advise in the implementation of efficient and resilient inventory management processes at the point of care across all acute care and ambulatory care locations.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in Hospital, Warehouse Supply Chain/Inventory Management or related experience required. Experience in healthcare supply chain preferred.
· Some knowledge and expertise in Warehousing and/or stock control methods and procedures required.
· Forklift Certification and experience preferred.
· Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills required. Strong customer service focus.
· Project management skills, ability to systematically analyze issues, and development of corrective actions that permanently eliminate recurring problems are a must. Good attention to detail required.
· Computer Skills including Microsoft Excel, Office and knowledge of Inventory Management / ERP systems required. Experience with Par Excellence and PeopleSoft preferred.
