Memorial Care Medical Group (MCMG) has a leadership opportunity for a board certified, fellowship trained specialist to be based in either Long Beach or Orange County, California. The Specialty Medical Director will be a full-time specialist physician who is mainly administrative, but who will spend 20-40% of the time practicing clinically in their specialty. This will enable the incumbent to experience working in an MCMG office as well as practicing in a MemorialCare Health System Hospital setting.
The Specialty Medical Director will be the dyad partner to the Executive Director of Specialty Alignment to address the particular needs and concerns of all MCMG specialist providers. This position will act as a liaison between the MCMG specialty providers, hospital leadership and Foundation leadership to collect, aggregate, clarify, refine, share and address clinical and operational concerns and inefficiencies in order to increase or improve productivity, patient outcomes (quality and experience) and services provided to MemorialCare patients.
