Position Summary

The Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technician is an unlicensed technician who assists the Physicians and Nursing staff in performing routine and emergency diagnostic cardiology procedures on Neonatal through Geriatric patients.Specifically, some procedures will include electrocardiograms, rhythms strips, code blue, cardioversions, stress testing, nuclear stress testing, stress portion of stress echocardiograms, Holter application, Holter scanning, signal average ECG and Pacemaker Clinic calls. Lastly, this position is responsible for processing paperwork for each procedure and works in collaboration with the Cardiac Recovery team to establish new procedures and maintain current and procedures withing the department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Provides education to the patient and family related to the procedure they are performing
  • Demonstrates the ability to assist in the completion of non-invasive diagnostic cardiology procedures
  • Demonstrates the ability to competently process documentation/perform clerical duties
  • Demonstrates proficiency with optional advanced non- invasive procedures
  • Demonstrates the ability to competently provide leadership and monitor quality
  • Addresses the age specific needs of the population served
  • Ability to be at work and be on time
  • Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives
  • Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • 1-year diagnostic cardiology experience preferred

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Current BCLS required
