Position Summary
The Respiratory Therapist Supervisor is responsible for operational issues of the patient care department during their assigned shift. The Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating all operations of the department according to the policies, procedures, standards and standard work that guide the processes for the assigned department. Responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluation of individuals and processes for the department to ensure consistent high-quality, cost-effective patient care. The Supervisor has the responsibility to manage material and labor resources as defined in the departmental annual budget. The success of the department is inherent in the incumbent’s ability to demonstrate positive, professional communication with patients, families, physicians, departmental and interdepartmental staff to optimize workflow and to facilitate problem identification and resolution.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
- 5 Years’ experience as a Respiratory Therapist required
- Supervisor and/or respiratory leadership experience preferred
Education/Licensure/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in respiratory or health science preferred
- Current California RCP license required
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) card required
- Current American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ACLS) card required
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) card required only if working in NICU
- Current Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification preferred
- Current Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) certification preferred
- Current Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) certification preferred
- Code Blue and Rapid Response Training required
