Position Summary:
The Bloob Bank Clinical Laboratory Scientist assists in the operation of the Blood Bank Pathology department at Long Beach Medical Center by performing specialized tasks involving medical laboratory testing. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist also performs and reports results, proof tests and assumes responsibility for accuracy.
Pay Range: $47.00/hr - $68.00/hr
Sign On Bonus Available: $5000
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a science discipline.
- Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Limited Specialty License issue by the State of California is required.
- 1+ years of training as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required.
- Previous work experience as a licensed CLS and ASCP Certification is preferred.
- Previous Blood Bank experience is preferred.
