Under direct supervision of the nurse, works cooperatively with all members of the health care team performing patient care for the Emergency Department patients. Stocks supplies and performs clerical activities to assist the nurse and physician in meeting the patient care needs.Adheres to standard work and policies and procedures. Facilitates a safe, clean working environment for the Emergency Department.

Pay Range: $20.60/hr - $23.90/hr

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements / Work Experience

Six months experience in an emergency department setting or 12 months as an ambulance attendant preferred.

Nursing Students in their first semester or higher.

Units/Departments may determine experience based on unit-based standards.

 

Education / Licensure / Certification

High School Diploma or equivalency or evidence of higher education required.

BLS certification required.

Current CA EMT-1 license preferred.
