Pay Range*: $33.79/hr. - $49.00/hr.

Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

The Anesthesia Technician II is responsible for providing assistance to the Anesthesiologists in a safe, appropriate and effective manner under the direct supervision of an Anesthesiologist.Additional responsibilities includes but not limited to: assembly, set-up and troubleshooting of all anesthesia equipment including anesthesia machines and ventilators, stocking of anesthesia machines and carts with supplies needed for patient care. Provides assistance for routine and emergency services, to Anesthesiologists and licensed personnel, while working within the scope of practice. Maintains clinical equipment in the Anesthesia Department in working order, trouble shoots and communicates with service coordinators, bio-med, vendors and Anesthesiologists, regarding repairs and supplies. Provides In-servicing of the OR staff in the use of clinical equipment and status of equipment as necessary

10.Demonstrates the ability to integrate knowledge of job specific competencies.

11.Ability to be at work and be on time.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required

  • Completion of anesthesia tech (ASATT) program preferred

  • Computer, internet, order entry and word processing experience preferred

  • Proficient in medical terminology

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Card

  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card preferred

  • Current ASATT Certification required
