Position Summary

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) assists the physician by scrubbing and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data as related to therapeutic diagnostic procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab. The CVT assists in patient care and preparation of the lab by performing routine and delegated technical and clerical duties under the direction of the circulating nurse according to OCMMC standards and department policy. Services are delivered to the patient population ranging from adult through geriatric.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

·Exhibits competence in executing scrub role duties with precision and consistency.

·Effectively carries out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with skill and accuracy.

·Demonstrates expertise in monitoring and interpreting hemodynamic parameters.

·Manages supplies and resources efficiently to support procedural needs.

·Collaborates well within the team environment and provides guidance or mentorship when appropriate.

·Responds appropriately to the developmental and age-related needs of the patient population, as outlined in the skills checklist.

·Ability to be at work and be on time

·Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives

·Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner

·Ability to prioritize and multitask

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

 ·        One-year experience in Cath Lab, Vascular Special Procedures and/or EP Lab required

·        Arrhythmia recognition and hemodynamic monitoring skills preferred

 

Education/Licensure/Certification:

 

·        Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) certificate required

·        Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required

·        Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
