The Central Processing Technician is primarily responsible for providing support to the Operating Room through knowledge of surgical supplies and materials. The Central Processing Technician is responsible for the daily case supply picking. This position is accountable for the support of the effective PAR level maintenance.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

·Demonstrates the ability to safely and competently perform assigned duties in maintaining OR supplies and picking surgical case carts.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.         Two (2) years acute care experience in Surgical Services required. In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong healthcare education and associated experiential background.

        Knowledge of aseptic techniques

        High School Diploma or equivalency preferred
