Purpose Statement / Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is a critical member of the Decision Support and Financial Planning team. This position maintains a broad understanding of our Hospital and Medical Foundation operations and detailed knowledge of financial models and data analysis. They support the cost accounting system, design new cost accounting strategies, perform analysis on patient data and financial data. Provides guidance to other team members to carry out objectives. Maintains a high level of emotional intelligence and executive presence.They are adept in multiple analytical platforms and employ a high degree of critical thinking to all work.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a comparable role required

Experience in a health system with hospital and physician integration and ability to analyze both hospital and professional billing data

Healthcare experience required

Experience with analytics of physician wRVUs, hospital and physician service line analytics across all health system specialties

Proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Innate curiosity and penchant for learning

Advanced Excel skills (Data Modeling, Power Query, Dax, M-Language)

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Proven ability to accept responsibility

Effective presentation skills

Proven ability to work with large, disparate data sets

Experience building reports and/or dashboards

SQL, Tableau, SSRS preferred

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance Accounting or similar field required
