Position Summary
The position is a management position with accountability for the daily operations and evaluations of the Medical Services at OCMMC and SMMC. The position effectively creates the medical staff’s operational, programmatic and other policies, bylaws, and rules and regulations related to achieving the Mission and Vision of OCMMC and SMMC and MHS. Directs the Medical Staff leaders in proper credentialing procedures and quality issues. Maintains the hospital library and CME program. Develops and monitors the Medical Staff budget. Researches variances, and identifies opportunities to reduce costs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Accountable for the development, direction, planning, and evaluation of the Medical Staff Services at OCMMC and SMMC. This position effectively creates the Medical Staff’s strategic, operational programmatic and other policies, bylaws, and rules and Regulations related to achieving the Mission and Vision of OCMMC, SMMC and MHS.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
5 years experience in a Medical Staff Services Department: knowledge of medical-legal issues and laws, regulatory agency requirements and standards: medical terminology: strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. Requires independent problem solving skills and decision making abilities: flexibility, perseverance and fortitude.
