Position Summary
Provides quality service and support relating to all employment and transaction in the business unit by ensuring transaction meets the legal requirement under federal, state and local regulation as well as comply with relevant MemorialCare policies and procedures. Specific function include those relating to open positions, employee hires and separation, and the maintenance and processing of all employee records and documents.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Manage onboarding process for new hires, including coordinating background check, physicals and processing on new hire paperwork. Additionally, facilitates and prepares materials and packets for new hire orientation. Order's food and prepares name badges.
Main point of contact for New Hires completing the on-boarding process, this includes scheduling and tracking of all pre-employment screening processes. Ensures optimal experience for new hire is achieved.
Coordinates special events including the scheduling of facilities and room requirements, event schedules and set-up requirements, attendance records, staffing and event follow-up support.
Performs various HR related tasks such as, but not limited to, employment verification, subpoenas, data entry of employee information, tracking information, assisting staff with specific requests and assisting employees with general information requests.
Responsible for customer service to all visitors that includes greeting customers, referring them to the appropriate members of staff, answering the phone, routing calls, taking messages and assisting customers with their specific questions.
Verifies job descriptions and new hire applications for filled positions and confirm minimum requirements.
Assist in interfacing with departments regarding current vacancies and the status of referred candidates by providing frequent updates and metrics to hiring managers.
Assures that offers of employment are within the employment guidelines, and policies. Review all offers of employment (new/re-hires, promotions, transfers, etc.) with the Manager, Human Resources to ensure compliance.
Assists in the coordination of New Employee Desk Orientation for the campus and regularly conducts them on an as-needed basis.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience in a Human Resources Department or related administrative/clerical experience.
General knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must be proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent customer service skills.
Effective oral and written communication.
Excellent organizational skills.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor's degree required in Business, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
