Position Summary
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center’s strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.
Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources and the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Representative provides assistance and guidance to hospital employees, former employees and prospective employees. The Human Resources Representative must possess a strong understanding of departmental procedures and HR policies to ensure workplace compliance and support employee well-being. Primary responsibilities for this position include managing the life cycle of the 90-day process, processing internal and external transfers, licensure, Human Resources department support via phones and visitors, and other duties as assigned. This position must maintain a level of confidentiality at all times.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Licensure Tracking for Nursing and Ancillary departments.
Ensures compliance for employees returning from a Leave of Absence.
Manages the life cycle of the 90-day process.
Accurately processes internal and external transfers.
Assist with other duties as needed.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Human Resources experience preferred
Healthcare experience preferred
Working knowledge of Federal and State wage and hour laws
PeopleSoft and Taleo experience preferred
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
