Position Summary

The Imaging Aide, under general supervision supports the imaging department by assisting technologists with daily basic tasks and transporting patients to/from the hospital departments and the Radiology department, Patient Care Pavillion (PCP), operating room (OR), Pre-op, and Radiation Oncology. In addition, they also ensure safe patient handling, correct patient identification, and accuracy in receiving and documenting relevant patient information.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

·Effectively communicate information to staff and patients by delivering quality customer service through both verbal and written communication.

·Effectively apply organizational skills to ensure patients and staff are well informed and also demonstrating proper etiquette in telephone, verbal/non-verbal, fax and email communications.

·Ability to effectively valuate the demands of physicians, staff and superiors, responding timely and appropriately.

·Communicate information concerning patients’ pertinent clinical information, assuring effective communication exchanges between transporter staff and other staff members.

·Participates in department specific meetings, trainings, emails, and in-services

·Follow company policies, procedures and directives.

·Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.

·Ability to prioritize and multitask.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

·        One year hospital transport experience preferred

·        Medical terminology experience preferred

Education/Licensure/Certification:

·        Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Card, required.
