Position Summary

This healthcare technology related position is responsible for the distribution, cleaning, preparing, and managing durable medical equipment issued to patients in the medical center and performs these duties with minimal supervision under the responsibility of the Materials Manager. The incumbent is responsible for the retrieval, decontaminating, cleaning, inspection, storage, distribution and tracking of reusable devices used during medical treatment and diagnosis during the patients stay. Incumbent will be responsible for adherence to standards and regulations enforced by Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and governmental agencies.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

·         Previous hospital experience in Sterile Processing and Distribution (SPD) or related Equipment Support Services (ESS) support role

·         Knowledge of disinfection and sterilization processes

Education/Licensure/Certification:

 

·         High school graduate or equivalent
