Position Summary
MemorialCare’s Enterprise Solution Architects are technology leaders. They drive the technical design of scalable systems for MemorialCare. Enterprise Solution Architects connect MemorialCare’s long-term vision with the business and the technical strategy to build an industry-leading platform. They use deep understanding of distributed systems, algorithms optimization, and healthcare knowledge to build a new category of products intersecting deep learning and computing with industry-leading technologies. They harness groundbreaking technologies and build impactful products and platforms that redefines the capabilities of Medical Doctors and MemorialCare’s healthcare systems.
Solution Architects are responsible for the design and development of high priority requests by leveraging their enterprise IT portfolio knowledge. This ensures the most efficient and sustainable configuration by providing a seamless transition to the application project team. They are responsible for overseeing software development to meet MemorialCare’s architectural and quality expectations, which requires a broad knowledge of applicable software and healthcare processes. Solution Architects work with the business and Information Systems (IS) leadership to understand multi-year road maps and identify architectural initiatives which have the broadest impact.
Solution Architects are responsible for engaging and maintaining a close business relationship proximity for prioritization and satisfaction. They expeditiously and proficiently develop a deep understanding of the demand using pragmatic processes. They mentor colleagues through knowledge transfer and effective communication. Solution Architects work to create technical documents relating to application architecture, design steps, integration processes and testing procedures. They ensure a seamless integration of new and existing systems and eliminate potential problems while maintaining data structure and integrity.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Determine the most effective software design strategy for market differentiation and growth
Interpret leadership requirements to produce solutions that conform to business requirements
Maintain a high proximity to novel concepts within the healthcare space to remain agile and current
Maintain great command of financial and contracting policies
Advance MemorialCare’s IS software portfolio to meet focal business demands
Revolutionize application rationale through critical thinking and decision-based practices
Serve as the primary liaison for IS needs to align with strategic service lines
Anticipate issues and work to identify and implement solutions or mitigations with relevant stakeholders
Maintain cohesion and transparency of IS requests
Escalate project risks while providing remediation methodologies
Lead architectural discussions
Elucidate accurately the core machinery for solutions and effectively executes
Evaluate the changing IT environment and communicate technological advancements
Provide technical solutions to specific design issues.
Develop, analyze, and verify requirements for completeness
Provide alternative solutions and recommendations on key options
Translate customer needs into planned deliverables
Maintain accountability for end-user satisfaction
Gather business and technical requirements
Translate customer requirements into functional requirements

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
Minimum 5 years of healthcare operational experience
Minimum 5 years healthcare information systems experience with a broad understanding of integration technologies
A minimum of 7 years application experience in relevant Epic module(s) preferred
Demonstrated proficient knowledge in healthcare system software as it relates to the enterprise IT ecosystem
Proven adaptability to net new strategic business initiatives through knowledge acquisition
Demonstrated awareness of high-profile business initiatives and ability to remain agile to maintain operational satisfaction and engagement
Proven ability to objectively measure key performance indicators for project life cycles by leveraging application expertise
Demonstrated radical transparency among IT and business relationships with the ability to establish immediate rapport to progress service lines
Proven critical thinker with the core competencies to dissect problems, design eloquent solutions, and measure both value and financial returns
Demonstrated robust aptitude in technical writing skills, documentation processes, and leadership exercises
Dedicated to the healthcare system mission and vision by demonstrating moral and ethical prowess.
Proven strong interpersonal skills in written and verbal communications with both technical and non-technical personnel required
Experienced in technical leadership, project management, and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users including proficiency with information systems technology such as Microsoft Office Products required
Experienced planning and organizing day-to-day activities, effectively managing more than one task, and meeting established deadlines
Demonstrated use of effective communication and interpersonal relations across all organizational levels to achieve established goals
Proven strong interpersonal skills in written and verbal communications with both technical and non-technical personnel required
Experienced in technical leadership, project management, and working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Proven ability to work independently with all IT service lines to develop best in class solutions
Demonstrated independent working nature, requiring minimal direction, while collaborating within and across departments
Experienced in leading projects, providing expert consultative guidance and direction on change initiatives, effectively dedicating time across more than one project, and meeting established deadlines
Proven ability in workflow and data analysis and design techniques, including needs assessment, specification development, quantitative methods, planning and gap analysis
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Epic certification required; cross certification preferred
