Position Summary

The Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) assists the physician by scrubbing and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data as related to therapeutic diagnostic procedures in the Cardiovascular Lab. The CVT assists in patient care and preparation of the lab by performing routine and delegated technical and clerical duties under the direction of the circulating nurse according to SMMC standards and department policy. Services are delivered to the patient population ranging from adult through geriatric.

•Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform hemodynamic dynamic monitoring.

•Demonstrates ability to efficiently coordinate supply management.

•Demonstrates ability to work as a team member, acts as a mentor as appropriate.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

•         One-year experience in Cath Lab, Vascular Special Procedures and/or EP Lab required

•         Arrhythmia recognition and hemodynamic monitoring skills preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

•         Certified CVT

•         Current AHA BCLS

•         Current AHA ACLS

•         RCIS preferred
