Position Summary:

The Director ofthe Oncology Services in collaboration with the Executive Director, MCI isresponsible forstrategic planning, marketing, business development, implementationandevaluation ofallCancerrelated programs and accreditations, education andpatient careprograms, including operational and fiscal oversight ofthese programs.The Director isalsoresponsible forthe integration ofthe AdultCancerProgram with thestrategic plan fortheMCI, SBMC and MHS.The Director istheprincipal ambassador forcancer care at SBMC and articulates the MCI vision toprofessionals, local businesses and the community including health care providers, prospective patients, third party payors, business interests, government agencies, and public officials.In tandem with the VP of Strategy, the Director, of Oncology Services, collaborates oncommunity outreach activities for the cancer program which include educational andfundraising events.

Developandmaintainlinkageswithphysicians associatedwiththeMCI (SBMC and MMF)

Identifypotentialphysicianalignmentopportunities

Collaboratewith physiciansandotherstakeholderstocreate/connectstrategic visionforMCI

Implement MCIstrategicvision in collaboration with the SBMC strategic vision

WorkwithMCIphysicians toensurethatbestpracticesareadoptedtobenefitpatients

Support implementation of newprograms andservices

Ensurequalityimprovementprojectsmeetstatedobjectives

Responsibleforannualoperatingandcapitalbudgetsofdepartments

Ensurethatdepartmentsmeetbudgettargets

Collaborate with other MCI Leaders and Executive Director, MCI to implementandmaintainsystemstofulfillaccreditationrequirements -ACOS,NAPBC,ACR,JCAHO

Providedirect supervisiontoMCImanagers and other MCI Staff

Communicateeffectivelywithphysicians,staffandleadership

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

5 years of progressive management experience in a hospital or outpatient setting (oncology preferred)

Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills

Ability to adapt to emergent situations

Excellent change management skills

Education/Licensure/Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree in a Health Care/Science related field, Nursing, or Business Administration. (Master’s degree in health care/science related field, Nursing or Business Administration preferred).
