Position Summary

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with our core values: Integrity, Accountability, Best Practices, Compassion and Synergy. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Centers’ strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities. Under the direction of the Dir, Cardiovascular Services, this position is responsible for managing the Cardiovascular Receiving Center Program for Saddleback Medical Center. Responsibilities include meeting and sustaining the requirements for STEMI Center Certification by ensuring compliance with the accreditation agencies’ standards of care. Requires strong working knowledge of STEMI receiving center management and development, performance improvement tools and methodologies, and effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to direct projects and assist with team building.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements

Experience:

·       5 years’ experience in Critical Care, Emergency Department and/or Cardiac Catheterization Lab

·       Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.,) and Electronic Medical Record such as EPIC.

·       Expertise in quality, safety, and regulatory standards supported/required by external agencies such as The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), California Department of Public Health and Orange County Emergency Medical Services

Education/Licensure/Certification:

·       Current California RN Licensure required.

·       American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.

·       American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.

·       Clinical Specialty experience preferred (SCRN, CNRN, CEN and/or CCRN).

·       Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing preferred.

·       Current certification/licensure of advanced specialized study preferred.
