Position Summary

The Rehabilitation Technician is responsible for assisting therapist s in providing safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care, as well as for preparing patients for their therapy session, assisting therapist with patient transfers, monitoring patient exercises under the direct supervision of a therapist, assisting with rehab equipment during therapy sessions, and performing clerical and environmental tasks as directed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

  • Assists with patient/care treatment under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist.

  • Maintains the department equipment and clinical supplies in a clean and orderly condition, takes inventory, and makes appropriate request for purchases of needed supplies.

  • Manages time effectively and balances direct patient care requirements with other departmental expectations. Manages resources in a cost effective manner.

  • Communicates with team members, colleagues, patients, and families in a professional and positive manner, embodying MemorialCare values in daily interactions with others. Demonstrates clear and concise communication and is respectful and supportive of other team members.

  • Demonstrates behaviors that support performance improvement activities through direct patient care and/or via participation in a workgroup/project/program in the department or relevant unit/area as appropriate.

  • Performs other duties as appropriate.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

  • Interest in healthcare career, preferably in rehabilitation or similar environment.

  • Must have great communication skills and demonstrate excellence in teamwork.

  • English/Spanish preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider certification.
