Position Summary

The Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures, to a patient population of adults through geriatric. The Technologist may assist the physician by scrubbing and monitoring physiologic hemodynamic data, as related to the procedures. The technologist will assist in patient care and preparation of the lab by performing routine and delegated technical and clerical duties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

·Consistently applies infection control policies/procedures (Hand Hygiene).

·Meets population specific competencies.

·Attends department specific education/training, in-services, and staff meetings.

·Participates in department-specific performance improvement project.

·Participates in Employee Engagement Action Planning and improves business outcomes.

·Individual and unit preparation for EPIC.

·Demonstrates ability to competently perform interventional technologist’s responsibilities according to department protocols.

·Demonstrates ability to competently perform diagnostic /interventional procedures.

·Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and assist in orienting new personnel.

·Other duties as assigned.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

·        One-year of experience in Radiology Special Procedures required.

Education/Licensure/Certification

·        Current CRT required

·        Current Fluoroscopy permit required

·        Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Card required

·        Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card preferred
